If we wouldn’t want it for our family, we wouldn’t ask you to use it near yours. We don’t formulate our products with these ingredients:
A scented soy candle to fragrance the home.
Hydrogenated Soybean Oil is a naturally derived material used for candle wax. It provides fuel for the candle and helps it keep its shape. As a note, “hydrogenated” means formulated to include water. So, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil is a mixture of soybean oil and water. It can typically be found in cleansing products, hair conditioners and other skin care products.
(A material used to create candle wax which provides fuel for a candle.)
Hydrogenated Palm Oil is a naturally derived material used for candle wax. It provides fuel for the candle and helps it keep its shape. As a note, “hydrogenated” means formulated to include water. So, Hydrogenated Palm Oil is a mixture of palm oil and water. It is also commonly found in skin care products, makeup and suntan products.
Ceteareth-20 is an emulsifier that can also be found in moisturizers, conditioners and other cosmetics. It helps bind ingredients together and keep a formula from separating. Over time, it is possible for formulas in a product to separate. Adding emulsifiers helps ensure that products provide the same performance use after use. There is some debate about this ingredient’s use in products applied to the skin, however, since our products are not applied to the skin we believe Ceteareth-20 is acceptable for use in candles.
