In cleaning products, Paraffin can be used as a film former to create a protective coating or shine on a surface. Paraffin is one of the most plentiful and commonly used waxes today. It can also be found in a wide array of products from lipsticks to eye makeup to baby products.

Help maintain a product formula over time.
Benzotriazole is a stabilizer that can also be found in dishwasher detergents to protect silver, and in antibacterial and antifungal pharmaceuticals. It helps prevent fading and maintain the color of a product when it is exposed to light over time. It works by absorbing ultraviolet light.
Distearyl Thiodipropionate is a stabilizer that can also be found in cosmetics. It acts as an antioxidant – it helps maintain the properties and performance of a product as it is exposed to air. Distearyl Thiodipropionate is commonly used to help preserve a product's color and texture.
Hydrocinnamic Acid, 3,5-Di-t-Butyl-4-Hydroxy-, Octadecyl Ester is a stabilizer that can also be found in cosmetics. It acts as an antioxidant -- it helps maintain the properties and performance of a product when it is exposed to air.
Palm Oil is a stabilizer that can also be found in many foods and personal care products. It helps maintain the consistency of a product formula.
A blending agent that ensures even distribution of the ingredients.
Glyceryl Oleate is an emulsifier that helps bind ingredients together to form and retain a shape -- for example the shape of a candle. For this reason, it is also commonly found in cosmetics like lipsticks and eye shadows. Like other emulsifiers, Glyceryl Oleate also helps prevent separation in a formula. Adding emulsifiers helps ensure that products provide the same performance use after use.

Poly(Alpha-Olefins) are binders that can also be found in shampoos and soaps. Poly(Alpha-Olefins) are added to products so that when other ingredients are compressed, they hold together in a solid shape. As a result, Poly(Alpha-Olefins) are used to improve the thickness of liquid or gel products or to stabilize foams.
