Polyvinyl alcohol

Definition

Polyvinyl alcohol is a carrier that can be found in a variety of cosmetics, personal care, and household products. A carrier does just what it sounds like - it helps carry a product to a surface by ensuring the even distribution of the ingredients in the formula. A polyvinyl alcohol pouch for our products is used to hold the liquid formula in a convenient dosage form. Once the pouch is dropped into a bucket of water, the film dissolves, releasing the product for dilution and making it ready to use.
