In certain formulas, adding Acrylic polymer to our products helps increase the glossy appearance on the surfaces where it is applied.

But we can tell you that it's an aqueous solution of polymers that we use in our products to help adjust the flowability so that the product can be spread evenly and can help prevent stains.

No matter how much you shake or blend a formula that combines oil and water, over time the oils will separate from the rest of the liquid - just like salad dressing. Polyethylene oxide is a cleaning agent, or "surfactant," that can also be found in a variety of makeup and products and toothpastes. We use it in our products to remove dirt and deposits by surrounding dirt particles to loosen them from the surface they are attached to, so they can be rinsed away.

C.I. 21108 is a colourant or dye. We add dyes to products for a variety of reasons including helping you see where you applied the product, when a product is used up or for aesthetic reasons. In shoe care products, dyes or pigments also help to restore colour or scuff cover. This colourant is available from multiple suppliers, which are responsible for its contents.

Tributoxyethyl Phosphate is a plasticiser that can also be found in floor polish and finishes. It works as film forming agent by transforming polymer particles into durable and flexible film. Without this, the polymer particles will be brittle.

Ethoxylated Alcohol is a cleaning agent, or "surfactant", that can also be found in household cleaning products like all-purpose cleaners and car cleaning products. Carnauba wax is a naturally derived film former that can also be found in cosmetics and skin care products. It creates a protective coating or shine on a surface. Carnauba wax comes from the carnauba palm tree – it forms on the leaves of the palm to protect the leaves from heat and keep their moisture from evaporating. In our products, it adds shine and protection when applied to a surface.

1,2 benziosothiazol -3(2H) is a preservative that helps maintain product quality and performance over time. Some people raise concerns about preservatives, because a small number of individuals have allergies to them just as some people have allergies to nuts or bees. But preservatives play a very important role in food, cosmetics and household products. Without preservatives, many products would not last more than a week or two before being contaminated by bacteria, mould or yeast. So, we feel the best choice is to add preservatives in the smallest effective quantity to protect our products, but to list these preservatives in our formulas so that those with allergies in the family can make informed choices.
