As a moisturiser, it helps prevent a product or surface, like leather, from drying out by helping it retain moisture. This makes it softer and more pliable.

Polydimethylsiloxane, Modified is a film former that can be used as lubricant in the leather industry. We add it to our products to create a coating on a surface adding an additional level of protection and provides a shine that helps the surface look its best. In our shoe care products, it also acts as a water proofer.
