The COVID-19 disease is caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. The products in the first section below can be used against SARS-CoV-2 when used in accordance with the direction for use on hard non-porous surfaces.

Products recommended against SARS-CoV-2: The products in the second section are still pending testing against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. However, the scientific and regulatory communities have adopted a hierarchy that ranks viruses, from harder to kill on surfaces (high on the hierarchy) to easier to kill on surfaces (low on the hierarchy). If a disinfectant kills a virus higher on this scale, experts have demonstrated it will kill a virus lower on the scale. When used as directed, these products have efficacy against a virus higher on the scale than SARS-CoV-2. Based on this hierarchy, we believe that they will be effective against SARS-CoV-2.
