Formula 35*25277The formula number on the label identifies the ingredients used to make that particular product.
Petrolatum is a water proofer that can be found in hand lotions and moisturizers. In our products, it works by penetrating the leather to improve flexibility and acts as a water proofer.
Paraffin is a blend of waxes that is used to form a candle and that provides fuel for the candle as it burns. Paraffin is one of the most plentiful and commonly used waxes today. It can also be found in a wide array of products from lipsticks to eye makeup to baby products. In household products, we use paraffin as a film former to create a protective coating or shine on a surface.
Neatsfoot Oil is a moisturizer that be can be found in leather cleaning products to help strengthen the formula. As a moisturizer in our products, it helps prevent a product or surface, like leather, from drying out by helping it retain moisture. This makes it softer and more pliable.
C13-14 Alkane is carrier that can be found in floor coating and paints. It helps carry a product to a surface by thinning or thickening the formula or simply ensuring even distribution of the other ingredients in the formula. We use it because without a carrier, the product would not work with the same consistency across a surface. C13-14 Alkane can also be used as a solubilizer helping to ensure even distribution of the ingredients through a product, to help it work better. No matter how much you shake or blend a formula that combines oil and water, over time the oils will separate from the rest of the liquid - just like salad dressing. A solubilizer helps keep our product formula mixed well.
