Directions for Use:
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

To Clean: Spray surface and wipe with a dry paper towel or lint-free cloth.
NOTE: Do not use on glass, utensils or dishes. All food contact surfaces such as appliances and kitchen counter tops must be rinsed with water.

To Sanitize Hard, Non-Porous Surfaces: Pre-clean heavily soiled areas. Spray surface until thoroughly wet. Let stand for 10 seconds. Wipe.

To Disinfect Hard, Non-Porous Surfaces: Prep-clean heavily soiled areas. Spray surface until thoroughly wet. Let stand for 10 minutes. Wipe.

 

The scientific and regulatory communities have adopted a hierarchy that ranks viruses, from harder to kill on surfaces (high on the hierarchy) to easier to kill on surfaces (low on the hierarchy). If a disinfectant kills a virus higher on this scale, experts have demonstrated it will kill a virus lower on the scale. When used as directed, this product has efficacy against a virus higher on the scale than SARS-CoV-2. Based on this hierarchy, we believe that they will be effective against SARS-CoV-2.

Can I use disinfectant products on products not listed on the label?
We do not recommend using disinfectant products to sanitize materials or surface areas not outlined on the product label. Using products as recommended by the label is central to ensuring that the product sanitizes appropriately. It is also important to carefully read the label to ensure that the selected product is appropriate for disinfecting areas, surfaces and materials from specific bacterium or viruses. 

 

What testing was done to now make this claim?
To date, public health organizations have provided guidance on which disinfectant products will work against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Laboratories have now obtained samples of SARS-CoV-2 and companies like SC Johnson have started testing disinfectants against this virus. Laboratory testing is the first step in determining disinfectant products’ effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 followed by approval from regulatory agencies such as, [INSERT REGULATORY AGENCY] a process that can take several months.
