In certain formulas, adding Acrylic polymer to our products helps increase the glossy appearance on the surfaces where it is applied.

Polyethylene oxide is a cleaning agent, or "surfactant," that can also be found in a variety of makeup and other products, including toothpastes. We use it in our products to remove dirt and deposits by surrounding dirt particles to loosen them from the surface they're attached to so that they can be rinsed away.

Glycol montanate is a film former that can be found in a variety of cosmetics and skin care products. In our products, glycol montanate adds shine and provides a protective coating when applied to a surface.

C.I. 77266 is a colorant, or dye. We add dyes to products for a variety of reasons including helping you see where you applied the product, when a product is used up, or for aesthetic reasons. In Shoe Care products, dyes or pigments also help to restore color or scuff cover. This colorant is available from multiple suppliers, which are responsible for its contents.

Paraffin is a blend of waxes that is used to form a candle and that provides fuel for the candle as it burns. Paraffin is one of the most plentiful and commonly used waxes today. It can also be found in a wide array of products from lipsticks to eye makeup to baby products. In household products, we use paraffin as a film former to create a protective coating or shine on a surface.

Ethoxylated Alcohol is a cleaning agent, or "surfactant," that can also be found in household cleaning products like all-purpose cleaners and automobile cleaning products. We use it in our products to remove dirt and deposits by surrounding dirt particles to loosen them from the surface they are attached to, so they can be rinsed away. Ethoxylated alcohol can also be used as an emulisifier. It helps bind ingredients together and keep a formula from separating. Over time, it is possible for formulas in a product to separate. Styrene/Arylates Copolymer is a polymer that can also be found in cosmetics. Adding Styrene/Arylates Copolymer to our products helps increase the glossy appearance on the surfaces where it is applied.

For competitive reasons, the supplier of this proprietary polymer solution has asked us to keep the details confidential, and we're legally bound to do so. But we can tell you that it's an aqueous solution of polymers that we use in our products to help adjust the flowability so that the product can be spread evenly and can help prevent stains.

Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether is a solubiliser that ensures even distribution of the ingredients throughout a product, to help it work better. No matter how much you shake or blend a formula that combines oil and water, over time the oils will separate from the rest of the liquid - just like salad dressing. A solubiliser like mineral spirits helps keep our product formula well mixed.

Tributoxyethyl Phosphate is a plasticizer that can also be found in floor polish and finishes. It works as film forming agent by transforming polymer particles into durable and flexible film. Without this, the polymer particles will be brittle.

Dimethyl MEA is a pH adjuster that can also be found in cosmetic products. It alters the pH of a product to improve stability over time. Every formula has an optimum pH to make it work best. For example, a formula that’s more acidic works better for soap scum removal. Its opposite, a formula that’s more alkaline, might be more effective as a carpet cleaner. We use pH adjusters to make sure we achieve the best pH for a particular job.
